Technical Specification & Mathematical Principles

Channels are normalized as R' = R/255, G' = G/255, and B' = B/255.

Black key component is K = 1 - max(R', G', B'). Remaining chromatic ink fractions calculate as C = (1 - R' - K) / (1 - K), M = (1 - G' - K) / (1 - K), and Y = (1 - B' - K) / (1 - K).

Frequently Asked Questions

The black channel is calculated as K = 1 - max(R', G', B'), which extracts the common darkest shared proportion across all three additive light channels.
